Neto Named All-GLIAC Honorable Mention
HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech junior Mario Neto of the men's tennis team has been named to the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Honorable Mention team, announced by the conference office on Saturday.
Neto, who hails from Santos, Brazil, guided the Huskies in both singles and doubles competition this season. Neto notched five singles victories and added three doubles wins during the 2018 campaign. Neto went unbeaten at 3-0 in No. 2 singles and recorded two wins in the No. 1 singles spot in the lineup.
This year's honorable mention selection is the second in a row for Neto who also garnered All-GLIAC Honorable Mention accolades following the 2016-17 campaign.
