Huskies Stopped by University of Charleston

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Michigan Tech men's tennis team fell to the University of Charleston 7-2 on the final day of the Spring Tennis Fest in Hilton Head, South Carolina on Thursday. Both points for the Huskies came during the singles portion of the match.

Mario Neto powered Michigan Tech (0-4) in the No. 2 singles spot with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Joao Tayar. Neto notched his third win for the Huskies during the spring break trip. Juan Felipe Chica recorded the other point for the Huskies in the No. 5 spot with a decisive 6-4, 6-0 decision over Elliot De Petit.

The Huskies will be back on the court on Friday March 23 at Grand Valley State University in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener. The first serve is slated for 7:00 PM. Thursday's full match results are below.
