Huskies honored by CCHA for academics

HOUGHTON, Mich. – Seven Michigan Tech Huskies were named to the 2021-22 CCHA Scholar-Athlete Team while 23 were named to the 2021-22 CCHA All-Academic Team. In total, the CCHA recognized 196 student-athletes that were named to the 2021-22 CCHA All-Academic Team and applaud the 93 student-athletes that earned recognition to be named to the CCHA Scholar-Athlete Team.
 
CCHA Scholar-Athlete Team
The Faculty Athletics Representative from each institution nominated all eligible student-athletes from their hockey team for the 2021-22 CCHA Scholar-Athlete Team that had a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the most recently completed semester, or quarter, at the present institution or had an overall cumulative GPA of at least 3.50. Student-athletes who were in the first year of undergraduate residency at the present institution during the current academic year were not eligible for this award. (Graduate transfer students were eligible for this award based on their final overall undergraduate GPA).

CCHA All-Academic Team
Faculty Athletics Representatives from each institution nominated all eligible student-athletes from their hockey team for the 2021-22 CCHA All-Academic Team that will have completed one year of residency at their present institution by the end of the current academic year (Freshman & transfer students were immediately eligible), will have had a grade point average of at least 3.00 (on 4.00 scale) for the previous two semesters, or three quarters, or may qualify if overall GPA is at least 3.00 for all terms at their present institution. Student-Athletes who are eligible for CCHA Scholar-Athlete Award honors (3.50 GPA and above) were also included on the CCHA All-Academic Team below.
