Early Bird Season Tickets Now On Sale Through June
HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech is offering its annual early bird hockey season ticket sale through the month of June. Ticket sales opened Monday (June 5).
Fans can purchase ticket packages for just $300 for adults and $200 for youth, a savings of $62 for adults and $24 for youth. Each package includes a reserved seat at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena to all home games encompassing a 16-game regular season schedule and potentially 7 home WCHA Playoff games. The $300 discount price breaks down to a little more than $12 per game, which is a 34 percent savings from the face value of single game tickets ($18) and 18 percent off the regular price of season tickets.
Don't miss a second of the action by taking advantage of this early season discount by July 1. Tickets can be purchased and renewed by calling the Central Ticket Office at 906-487-2073 or by visiting in person Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Last year's reserved season ticket holders will have until July 27 to reclaim their seats for the 2017-18 campaign. Beginning July 28, all unclaimed reserved seats will go on-sale to the general public.
The highlights of the home schedule include a rematch of the 2017 WCHA Championship Game with Bowling Green on November 3-4, a pair of games against rival Northern Michigan, the annual Winter Carnival series on February 9-10 versus Bemidji State, and nonconference opponent Arizona State making its first-ever trip to Houghton on February 16-17.
One change from the original schedule release is the Ferris State series. The Huskies and Bulldogs will now meet at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena on December 8-9 and in Big Rapids on January 26-27.
Newly-appointed head coach Joe Shawhan will return 18 players from last year's team that won 20 games for the third season in a row. Tech finished 23-15-7 and won the Broadmoor Trophy as WCHA Tournament Champions to go to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in the last three years.
