Michigan Tech’s Reinke Invited to Nashville Development Camp

NASHVILLE — Incoming Michigan Tech defenseman Mitch Reinke has been invited to attend the Nashville Predators development camp, which will be held June 27 to July 2 at the Centennial Sportsplex.

The scheduled training regimen includes a variety of on- and off-ice testing, dry-land activities and workouts, on-ice fundamentals work, video sessions, media and nutrition education, and team-building activities. The players will also receive instruction on training principles such as sport-specific power and strength enhancement, flexibility and off-ice conditioning.

Last season, Reinke was part of the 2016 Anderson Cup winning Cedar Rapids RoughRiders squad, which is awarded annually to the winner of the USHL. Mitch was second in scoring as a defenseman (5g-25a) in 56 regular-season games. Reinke was also a member of the Bronze Medal winning US squad during the World Junior A Challenge held in Whitby, Ontario in December of 2015. Mitch was one of only two returning members to the US team defending their Gold Medal winning effort a year ago, captured in Kindersley, Saskatchewan.

Reinke played high school for Stillwater High from 2011 to 2014, registering 45 points (10g-35a) in 67 regular-season games. Mitch is part of nine member incoming class for the Huskies this fall.
