Early Bird Sale for Hockey Season Tickets Underway

HOUGHTON, Mich. – Season tickets to watch the Michigan Tech hockey team defend its MacNaughton Cup championship went on sale today (May 20) at a special early bird rate.

Fans can purchase ticket packages for just $204 until July 1, a 20 percent discount off of standard season ticket pricing. Each package includes one reserved seat at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena for each of Tech's 14 regular season home games and the first round of the WCHA Playoffs.

The highlights of the home schedule include the annual Winter Carnival series (Feb. 10-11 vs. Ferris State), a pair of games vs. rival Northern Michigan, and a two-game set with co-WCHA champion Minnesota State (Jan. 20-21).

The WCHA will announce ticket information for the league's semifinals and championship at a later date.

The nationally ranked Huskies are once again expected to compete for a WCHA title in 2016-17 as they return 12 of their top-15 scorers and four players who took home All-WCHA honors last season. Michigan Tech's 52 victories over the past two years are the most of any WCHA school and the fourth best total in all of college hockey.

Season tickets can be purchased at the SDC Ticket Office, online at BuyHuskiesTickets.com or over the phone at 906-487-2073.
