Help John Scott Be Named Calgary Stampede Parade Grand Marshal

CALGARY, Alberta — A petition has been started to name former Michigan Tech hockey player John Scott as the Calgary Stampede Parade Grand Marshal. Sarah Crosbie, a radio personality at Q107 FM in Calgary, is leading the effort to try to get more than 1,000 signatures on the petition.

Scott, a native of St. Catherines, Ontario, was recently named the MVP of the NHL All-Star Game in Nashville after captaining his Pacific team to the all-star victory.

The Calgary Stampede is the World's Largest Rodeo and is billed as the "Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth." There are an estimated 500,000 people expected to view the parade in downtown Calgary.
