Huskies Ranked Fifth in USA Today Poll, Sixth in USCHO Poll

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech hockey team is ranked No. 5 this week in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll and No. 6 in the USCHO.com Top 20 Poll. Tech is 10-2-0 overall and on top of the WCHA standings with an 8-2-0 mark in league play.

The Huskies had their 10-game winning streak snapped last weekend with a pair of losses to Minnesota State in a battle of top 10 teams. Tech was ranked No. 1 while the Mavericks were No. 10. This week MSU is No. 7. 

Tech received one first place vote in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll. The Huskies entered the polls at No. 17 on Oct. 27. They were ranked No. 9 on Nov. 3, No. 5 on Nov. 10 and No. 1 last week.

Tech makes its first-ever trip to Alabama Huntsville (3-9-2, 2-6-0 WCHA) for a WCHA road series against the Chargers. The puck drops at 8:07 p.m. both Friday and Saturday night.
