Meet the Hockey Team Picnic Set for Next Tuesday (Sept. 9)

HOUGHTON, Mich. — The Michigan Tech Blue Line Club will host a start-of-the-season "Meet the Team" Picnic on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 5:30 pm at the Rotary Club Pavilion at Kestner Waterfront Park in Houghton. This is a great opportunity to meet the incoming freshman hockey players, reconnect with those returning and catch up with the coaching staff about the coming season.

The event is open to the public. Cost is $5 or $10 per family and it includes hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks provided by the Club. A dish to pass would be welcome.

Michigan Tech hockey opens its 2014-15 season in one month with a WCHA series at Lake Superior State Oct. 4-5. The Huskies also play Ferris State in a league series Oct. 24-25 before opening the home portion of their regular season against Michigan Oct. 31-Nov. 1.
