Freshman Season (2013-14): Earned the Gitzen-Loutit Memorial Award as the team's outstanding defensive player … Appeared in all 40 games with four assists on the season … Led the WCHA and ranked in the top five nationally in blocked shots with 101 … Team was 3-0-1 when Watson had a point.

Prior to Michigan Tech: Played two seasons with the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL …Tallied three goals and eight assists for 11 total points in 62 games in 2012-13 …Played in 58 games in 2011-12 with 0-8=8 … Selected in the sixth round of the 2012 NHL Draft by the San Jose Sharks (168th overall).
