HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech men's basketball team has a lot to play for in its final two regular season games, welcoming Davenport and Grand Valley State to the SDC Gymnasium on Thursday and Saturday.

Saturday will also serve as Senior Day, honoring senior center Tyler Robarge between games.

All home and GLIAC games will be streamed on FloSports. With one subscription, Michigan Tech fans can watch all home and conference games in volleyball, basketball, football, soccer, and hockey. About the Panthers

Davenport is on a five-game losing skid entering the final week of the regular season, holding an overall record of 9-17 and 4-12 in the GLIAC. The Panthers most recently suffered losses at home, falling to Lake Superior State (73-56) Thursday and Ferris State (75-64) on Saturday.

DU has two players averaging double-figure, scoring led by Marcedus Leech Jr.'s 17.6 points. Myles Belyeu joins him with 11.8 points and a team-leading 5.7 rebounds per outing.

Leech Jr. leads the league in 3-point attempts with 197 on the season, averaging 2.77 3-point makes per game, which resides third-best in the GLIAC. The Panthers also boasts over 22 points from its reserves, ranking third-best in the league.

The Panthers average over seven steals per game and total over 13 turnovers forced per game. 

About the Lakers

Grand Valley State travels north for the last weekend of the regular season slate with an overall ledger of 12-14 and 9-7 in the loop. The Lakers are fresh off a weekend sweep, besting Ferris State 87-77 on Thursday before snapping Lake Superior State's seven-game win streak on Saturday, 93-75. The Lakers currently reside fourth in the league standings.

Mason Docks earned GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week, grabbing a career-high seven rebounds on Thursday, totaling ten rebounds, five assists and four steals to go with 21 points for the weekend.

Trevon Gunter erupted in Saturday's win with a career-high 29 points on 9-for-13 shooting, which included five 3-pointers as the team shot 53 percent from the field to give Lake Superior State its fifth loss in conference play.

The Lakers have a well-balanced offense with four players averaging double-figure, scoring led by Ethan Alderink at 12.1 points per game. Additionally, GVSU sees three players averaging over five rebounds per outing led by Marius Grazulis at 7.5 rebounds, with Ethan Alderink (5.4) and William Dunn (5.3) chipping in.

About the Huskies

Michigan Tech is coming off its final road weekend of the regular season, earning a weekend split with a loss to Wayne State (75-61) Thursday before bouncing back in an 84-79 win at Saginaw Valley Saturday. Overall, the Huskies are 10-15 and 7-9 in the GLIAC to reside in a tie for sixth with Purdue Northwest.

Marcus Tomashek and Dan Gherezgher posted 20-point games in Saturday's win, with Tomashek leading all scorers with 26 points. Gherezgher neared a triple-double with 23 points to go with eight rebounds and a career-high seven assists. 

The Huskies also got vital minutes off the bench from Peyton LaCombe and Adam Hobson, who combined for 15 points.

Tomashek leads the league in five statistical categories and remains one of the nation's-best point scorers with 22.2 points per game, being seventh in the country. He has scored 556 points this season, which ranks 21st nationally. 

Gherezgher joins Tomashek as the second player to average double-figure scoring at 13.9 points per game.

Pete Calcaterra controls the glass for the Huskies with a team-leading 6.3 rebounds per outing.
