Huskies Sign Hobson for 2020-21 Season

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech men's basketball program and Head Coach Kevin Luke are pleased to announce the addition of Adam Hobson (Stougton, Wisconsin) for the 2020-21 season. Hobson has signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career as a Husky.

"Adam is going to be a great addition to our program," Michigan Tech Head Coach Kevin Luke said. "He is a very good athlete and is solid in his ability to shoot the three-point shot and post up some inside while employing a good mid-range game. He is a great teammate who is unselfish and a player that has an excellent basketball IQ and work ethic."

Hobson, a 6-3 wing player from Stoughton High School, was a First Team All-Conference selection in the Badger South Conference last season. In addition, he was an Honorable Mention choice on the Wisconsin State Journal All-Area Team. Hobson is a three-time varsity letter winner for Coach Nolan Weber and started every game as a sophomore and junior for the Vikings.

Hobson led the team in points, rebounds, offensive rebounds, assists, three-point percentage, and charges taken as a junior. He is a two-year captain and was a First-Team All-League selection as a junior after averaging 16.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. On the football field, Hobson was the Offensive Player of the Year in the Badger South Conference as the quarterback after helping lead the team to a conference championship.

Hobson's sister Hannah is currently a member of the Michigan Tech women's basketball team. Hobson is planning to study statistics at Michigan Tech.

The Huskies are 2-0 to begin the 2019-20 season and will be back on the court Sunday in a non-conference showdown with Winona State. The tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. eastern time.
