2017 Boys Middle/High School Basketball Camps Scheduled for June

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech men's basketball program will be holding multiple camps for boys in grades 6-12 during the month of June. A high school Team (Varsity/JV) camp for grades 9-12 will be offered June 16-17 with the addition of an Elite Camp for players in grades 9-12 June 28th. A development camp for athletes in grades 6-8 will take place June 18-20.

The Michigan Tech Team Camp is an intensive two-day camp designed especially for teams and held in the SDC Varsity Gym and Multipurpose Room. Michigan Tech's head coach Kevin Luke and other top staff and student-athletes will work directly with the players, offering pointers to help players perfect their skills.

This camp is for team players entering grades 9-12 as of Fall 2017 and is a commuter only camp; lodging and meals not included. There is an eight-player minimum per team and a packet of required forms will be sent to participants via email once their application is processed. The required forms must be submitted prior to the start of camp. The cost is $325 for the first team and $250 for each additional team. The deadline to register for the camp is June 2.

In the Elite Camp, players will work one-on-one with Coach Luke and other top staff and student-athletes to learn at a pro level. Highly competitive drills and games played in the SDC Varsity Gym and Multipurpose Room will allow players to put their skills to the test and perfect performance.

This camp is for players entering grades 9-12 as of Fall 2017 and a packet of required forms will be sent to participants via email once their application is processed. The required forms must be submitted prior to the start of camp. The cost of the camp is $45 and the deadline to register is June 14th.

The Development Camp is what comes after the basics; players will learn ways to improve their game, both as an individual and in a team, and put their skills to the test in games and competitions. They will also get a preview of college life staying on campus at Michigan Tech. Players will put their knowledge of ball handling, shooting, team play, and defensive play to the test, learning strategies for improvement.

This camp is for players entering grades 6-8 as of Fall 2017. A packet of required forms will be sent to participants via email once their application is processed. The required forms must be submitted prior to the start of camp. The cost of the camp is as follows: Live-in $255.50; commuter $176.50. The deadline to register is June 2.
