STELZER GLIAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK AGAIN
Ben Stelzer has earned GLIAC North Division Player of the Week for a second time this season. The senior guard averaged 26.0 points in helping the Huskies to a pair of home wins last week. Stelzer made 9-of-13 field goals including 6-of-9 from 3-point range in a 72-61 victory over Findlay on Thursday (Dec. 11). He came back two days later and hit six more 3-pointers (on 11 attempts) in a 24-point performance vs. Wayne State. The 6-1 guard was 16-of-25 (64 percent) from the floor with seven assists, five rebounds and four steals in the two games combined. He now has 1,307 career points—good for 16th on Tech's all-time scoring chart.

STANKOWSKI SETS CAREER HIGH
Junior Kyle Stankowski reset his career high with 17 points in a 72-61 win over Wayne State last Saturday (Dec. 13). The 6-9 center made 8-of-10 field goals in 20 minutes of action off the bench. Stankowski averages 9.9 points per game this season. He also has 15 blocked shots for a GLIAC-leading 2.1 blocks per game average.
SERIES VS. UW-PARKSIDE
Michigan Tech and UW-Parkside have developed a rivalry over the last decade with nine meetings since 2005. The Huskies are 9-3 all-time against the Rangers with a 6-3 mark in the last 10 years. Tech defeated UWP 83-79 in Houghton a year ago (Dec. 21) and also claimed a 69-51 win the last time the teams met in Kenosha (Dec. 29, 2012).
AMONG THE NATIONAL LEADERS
Michigan Tech ranks in the top 10 nationally in several statistical categories. The Huskies are third in turnovers (8.3 per game), sixth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.80) and ninth in fewest fouls (61).
QUICK HITTERS
• Michigan Tech is 13th nationally in 3-point shooting in 2014-15 with a 43.6 percentage as a team. The Huskies were fifth in the country in 2013-14 with a 41.2 mark
• Tech was an NCAA Sweet 16 participant a year ago. The Midwest Regional Final was the Huskies best tournament finish in school history
COACH LUKE
Head coach Kevin Luke is in his 21st season on the bench for the Huskies and has led Tech to five NCAA Tournament appearances and six GLIAC Titles. He has a 366-220 (.625) career record. He is a four-time GLIAC Coach of the Year and was the 2002-03 NABC National Coach of the Year. The Huskies have had seven 20-win seasons under Luke.
