Armga Named to NABC All-Midwest District First Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Michigan Tech senior guard Austin Armga was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches NCAA Division II All-Midwest District First Team. Armga was one of 88 student-athletes honored.

The native of Waupun, Wis., scored 736 points this season, seven shy of the school record held by Ali Haidar (743) from last season. He also finished his career ninth in scoring at Tech with 1,577 points while leading the Huskies to their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship game.

Armga led the Huskies in scoring (23.0), rebounding (5.2) and minutes (34.3) while shooting 51.6 percent from the floor. He had five 30-point games this season, including a 38-point outburst against Southwest Minnesota State on Nov. 22. The Huskies finished 24-8, the most wins since the 2002-03 season.

Armga was also named an Academic All-American and selected to the GLIAC First Team, Daktronics Midwest Region Second Team and NCAA Midwest Regional All-Tournament Team in 2013-14.
