2024 Michigan Tech Football Schedule Unveiled
HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech football team has unveiled its 2024 schedule, which showcases six home games to be played at Kearly Stadium.
The 2024 regular season features four nonconference games and seven GLIAC matchups.
The Huskies open the 102nd season of football on Thursday, Aug. 29, traveling to NSIC foe Bemidji State, who finished its season hosting their first-ever second round playoff game in 2023–It was their third trip in three years. The two teams played 30 times between 1955 and 1993, with the last meeting in 1993 seeing Michigan Tech win 52-23 in Bemidji.
In week one, the Black & Gold welcomes RMAC affiliate South Dakota Mines to Kearly Stadium for a Thursday home opener on Sep. 5.
The nonconference slate continues with a week two matchup against Hillsdale, returning to Kearly Stadium for the second-straight year on Saturday, Sep. 12.
Michigan Tech heads to UW Oshkosh on Saturday, Sep. 21, before taking a bye in week four.
The league schedule opens in week five as the Huskies play host to Wayne State on Saturday, Oct. 5.
MTU remains at home for week six, welcoming Davenport to Houghton on Saturday, Oct. 12.
The Huskies then travel downstate to Ferris State in week seven on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Michigan Tech returns home vying for the 14th-straight Miner's Cup in the 22nd installment on Saturday, Oct. 26.
The Black & Gold travel to the newest GLIAC affiliate, Roosevelt, in week nine on Saturday, Nov. 2.
Michigan Tech's last home game of the regular season comes in week ten, playing host to Grand Valley State on Saturday, Nov. 9.
The Huskies wrap up the regular season on the road at Saginaw Valley State on Saturday, Nov. 16.
