Michigan Tech Football Seating and Press Box Campaign

HOUGHTON, Mich. - We are excited to give you a quick update on the Michigan Tech Football stadium project. We have nearly $1.2 million in gifts and pledges to date! The bids are in for phase one and we plan to break ground after the spring game this April. Phase one will be completed by the home opener September 8th against Hillsdale. Even though fundraising for phase one was a success, we still need your help. We are focusing our attention on phase two with a goal to break ground in spring 2019. The cost for phase two of the renovation has a $2 million price tag.

As a quick reminder, phase one includes new bleacher seating for 2,100 fans and accessible parking along with concrete for the VIP Pavilion. Phase two includes an expanded press box, coaching boxes, restrooms and concessions. The total project cost is $3 million.

We seek your support. To assist with phase two, we ask that you consider making a gift. If the gift is made prior to December 30th, this will allow you to take advantage of tax deductions and helps us reach our financial goal so we can complete phase two of the project for the 2019 football season.

Gifts can be made online at http://www.mtu.edu/giving/athletics/priorities/football/.
