Football Enters Top 15 This Week
WACO, Texas — Michigan Tech moved up to No. 13 in this week's American Football Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll. The Huskies were No. 20 last week before defeating Grand Valley State 35-14.
Tech scored 35 unanswered points to start the game against the Lakers who were the preseason GLIAC favorite. The Black and Gold have won eight straight games dating back to last season and are 6-0 for the first time since 2004.
For the second straight week, four GLIAC teams are ranked in the nation's top 25. Ferris State is No. 6. Ohio Dominican and Ashland check in behind the Huskies at No. 16 and 24, respectively.
Michigan Tech (6-0) and Ferris State (7-0) are the last two remaining undefeated teams in the GLIAC, and they square off Saturday (Oct. 25) in a Sherman Field showdown. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
