Huskies Host TV6 Business After Hours Event

HOUGHTON, Mich. — Michigan Tech Athletics and Recreation, in conjunction with the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce, hosted a TV6 Business Expo in the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena last night with a turnout of 75 local business owners and administrators.

The event was a free social with food, drinks and prizes and also exposed local businesses to advertising opportunities at Michigan Tech as well as TV6 and Fox UP.

“It was great to see the turnout from local businesses,” said Tech’s Director of Athletics and Recreation Suzanne Sanregret. “We receive tremendous support from this community, and it’s vital to our success in fielding top-notch teams across all sports.

“With more than one million visitors annually at the Student Development Complex and surrounding athletic venues, partnerships between local businesses and Michigan Tech Athletics are mutually beneficial. We look forward to growing our partnership program as we move forward.”

In addition to advertising from Tech Athletics’ wide menu of options, many businesses purchase season tickets to give to employees or customers.
