Next Huskies Night Out Is Monday at Mine Shaft

HOUGHTON, Mich. — Michigan Tech Athletics hosts the fourth Huskies Night Out event of the season at the Mine Shaft next Monday (Jan. 20). The event is a chance for fans to hear in-depth interviews and ask questions of Michigan Tech coaches. Admission is free, and the Mine Shaft will offer drink and food specials during the 6-8 show with many door prizes to be handed out.

Scheduled to speak at Monday’s event are hockey coach Mel Pearson, women’s basketball coach Kim Cameron and men’s basketball coach Kevin Luke.

Among the door prizes at each event is a $50 Mine Shaft gift certificate along with Michigan Tech athletics apparel.

The Mine Shaft/Rock House Grille, located at 915 Razorback Drive in Houghton, has ample seating with lots of wide-screen and projection screen TVs. The wide-ranging menu includes pizzas, burgers, pastas, Mexican favorites, BBQ ribs, steaks and sandwiches. With 12 tap handles, the Rock House has a wide selection of locally brewed beers and regional favorites.

After Monday, there will be one final Huskies Night Out remaining. That will come on Monday, Feb. 17.
