HOCKEY
Michigan Tech split with St. Thomas on the final weekend of the regular season. The Huskies fell 2-0 Friday and bounced back with a 6-0 victory on Saturday. Logan Pietila, Blais Richartz, Chase Pietila, Levi Stauber, and Nick Williams scored. Blake Pietila stopped 43-of-44 shots on the weekend and earned his 23rd career shutout and 72nd win Saturday. Tech is the No. 3 seed in the CCHA Mason Cup Playoffs and hosts No. 6 seed Bowling Green in a best-of-three series at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena. The Huskies and Falcons faceoff at 7:07 p.m. Friday, 6:07 p.m. Saturday, and, if necessary, 5:07 p.m. Sunday.
NORDIC SKIING
Tech is in Steamboat Springs, Colorado for the 2024 NCAA Skiing Championships. Skylar Patten, Colin Freed, Henry Snider, Anabel Needham, Synne Herheim and Olivia Laven will represent the Black and Gold. The Huskies will race in the skate on Thursday and the classic on Saturday.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech earned the No. 4 seed in the GLIAC Tournament after a weekend split to wrap up the regular season. The Huskies defeated Davenport 91-64 Thursday and fell 57-46 to No. 2 Grand Valley State on Saturday. Tech hosts Parkside at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the SDC Gym to open the postseason.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies split their final weekend of the regular season with an 88-61 victory over Davenport on Thursday and a 92-86 loss to Grand Valley State on Saturday. Tech is the No. 5 seed in the GLIAC Tournament and will open the postseason at No. 4 seed GVSU on Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.
