HOCKEY
Tech split with Ferris State at home over the weekend. The Huskies won 2-1 Friday and fell 2-1 Saturday. Raymond Brice and Seamus Donohue scored Friday, and Tommy Parrottino found the back of the net Saturday. Tech is 14-11-3 overall and 9-8-2 in the WCHA. The Huskies get back on the road this weekend at Alabama Huntsville. The puck drops at 8:07 p.m. both nights at the Von Braun Center in the only meeting of the season between the Huskies and Chargers.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies split its weekend downstate, falling 95-93 in overtime at No. 11 Grand Valley State Thursday and bouncing back with a 69-61 win at Davenport. Kyle Monroe had a career-high 53 points Thursday and 23 Saturday. Dawson Bilski (11.5) also averaged double figures on the weekend, while Owen White scored 16 points Saturday. Tech is 14-5 overall and 8-3 in the GLIAC and travels to Northwood (Thursday) and Saginaw Valley State (Saturday) this weekend.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech dropped two games on the road. The Huskies fell 70-44 at No. 3 Grand Valley State Thursday and 81-66 at Davenport Saturday. Ellie Mackay scored 13 against the Panthers and Hannah Hobson added 11 in the game. The Huskies (7-11, 5-6 GLIAC) will be back on the road Thursday when they head downstate again to battle Northwood. Tech will then take on Saginaw Valley State Saturday to wrap up a four-game road stretch.

NORDIC SKIING
The Huskies raced at the Gitchi Gami Games Sunday in Cable, Wisconsin. The Huskies raced a 10K classic from the Birkie Trailhead. Sarah Goble picked up a win for the second weekend in a row while Oda Hovland finished second. Henriette Semb placed sixth in the women's race. Patrick Acton led the men's team in fourth while Joshua Albrecht (9th) and Somer Schrock (10th) were also in the top 10. Tech competes on Saturday and Sunday at the CCSA Northwoods Nordic Invitational in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.



HUSKIES LEND A PAW

This year's community outreach initiative for Michigan Tech Athletics is the Huskies Lend a Paw to support Big Brothers Big Sisters - UP Kids. Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) seeks to change the lives of children facing adversity - for the better, forever. BBBS programs help children realize their full potential and build their futures by providing strong and enduring, professionally supported, one-to-one relationships.
