HOCKEY
The hockey team picked up its fourth WCHA sweep of the season with a 3-2 win Friday and 3-1 win Saturday versus Alaska Anchorage at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena. Brian Halonen scored both nights. Jake Lucchini, Jake Jackson, Alec Broetzman and Justin Misiak also scored for the Huskies. Matt Jurusik had 33 saves on the weekend. Tech (14-16-4, 13-10-3-1 WCHA) will wrap up the regular season this weekend against Northern Michigan. The two teams will meet Friday in Houghton and Saturday in Marquette. The puck drops at 7:07 p.m. each night. Friday will be Senior Night at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena. The seniors will be honored on the ice after the game and at Sunday's Blue Line Club Senior Salute Brunch.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies split their final road trip of the regular season. They won their ninth straight game Thursday with a 72-53 victory at Davenport. Elizabeth Kelliher led five players in double figures with 17 points. Tech fell 75-46 at No. 11 Grand Valley State Saturday. The Huskies are now 19-8 overall and 15-4 in the GLIAC and will wrap up the regular season on Thursday against Northern Michigan at the SDC Gym. Tipoff is at 5:30 p.m. and the seniors will be honored on the court after the game.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech dropped a pair of GLIAC games on the road over the weekend. The Huskies fell 72-59 Thursday at Davenport and 71-53 at Grand Valley State on Saturday. Bryan Heath (17) and Owen White (14) scored in double figures Thursday, and Dawson Bilski and Trent Bell scored a dozen each on Saturday. Tech (11-15, 6-13 GLIAC) hosts Northern Michigan Thursday at the SDC Gym. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m. and the seniors will be recognized before the game.

NORDIC SKIING
Tech finished second at the NCAA Central Region Championships Sunday at the Tech Trails. Amanda Kautzer earned her second win of the season in the 15K classic Sunday, while Kristoffer Vollset won the 20K classic. Sarah Goble finished third both days. Kautzer placed fourth Saturday and Erin Lipp was 10th in the freestyle. Patrick Acton placed fourth both days for the men. Also finishing in the top 10 for the Huskies were Reid Goble (7th classic), Dan Wood (8th freestyle), Somer Schrock (9th classic), Jasczak (9th freestyle), and Gaspard Cuenot (10th freestyle). The Huskies travel to Stowe, Vermont for the NCAA National Championships on March 6-8.

MEN'S TENNIS
The Huskies opened the 2019 season with a pair of matches on the road. Tech fell 7-0 at Hillsdale and 5-2 versus Tiffin. Tech earned the doubles point on Sunday with wins in two out of the three matches. Mario Neto and Siddhesh Mahadeshwar went toe to toe with Sorin Navrotchi and Tom Arias of Tiffin in No. 1 doubles. The duo of Neto and Mahadeshwar outlasted the Dragons 7-6 with a 6-2 tiebreaker that decided the outcome. Sodini logged his first collegiate win Sunday with a 6-2, 6-0 win in No. 6 singles. The Huskies will be back on the court on Sunday at UW-Green Bay.
