Registration for 2019 Summer Sports & Adventure Camps is Open

Registration for 2019 Michigan Tech Summer Sports and Adventure Camps is now open. Registration is available online at michigantechrecreation.com/camps/summer.

The Mens' Basketball team will host a variety of skill camps and clinics, beginning on June 14-15 with their Varsity/JV Shootout camp, continuing with their Grades 6-8 Development Camp on June 16-18, and concluding with their High School Elite Clinic on June 26. Practice shooting, passing, ball-handling, and defensive skills from Michigan Tech basketball coaches and players.

Womens' Basketball will also host skill camps and clinics throughout the summer, beginning with a High School Elite Clinic for attendees in grades 9-12 on June 9 and again on August 3. There will also be an Offensive Skills Camp held on June 18-20 for everyone in grades 6-12, as well as a grade 6-8 Development Camp on June 25-27. Additionally, a Varsity/JV Shootout clinic will also be held on July 15. You'll practice all the necessary skills to dominate the court under the guidance of Michigan Tech basketball coaches and players.

Michigan Tech Volleyball will host two All Skills camps in the month of July. Their first will be held on July 17-18 for those in grades 6-8, while the second will be for those in grades 9-12 and will be held on July 18-19. With tips and pointers from the Michigan Tech volleyball coaching staff and players, you'll be improving your skills through action-packed games.

The Michigan Tech Hockey program will once again host their annual hockey camps inside the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena. Gain fundamental skills and broad knowledge of the sport for all bird years 2004-2012. All camps and clinics are co-ed and focus on team play, positional play, and more. Campers have three weeks of hockey camp to choose from: July 7-12, July 14-19, and July 21-26. Attend any or all!

Michigan Tech Cross Country is also hosting their Running Camp in the Michigan Tech Recreation Trails from August 1-3. The goal of the camp is to provide athletes with the knowledge and understanding of distance running in a fun and motivational atmosphere under the tutelage of the Michigan Tech cross country coaching staff. The Running Camp is open to all participants in grades 9-12.

In addition to the sports camps, the Michigan Tech Outdoor Adventure Program will host a series of camps during the summer. On June 16-20, there will be a Junior Mountain Biking All Skills Camp for ages 13-19, and on July 14-19 there will be a Kayaking Camp for everyone in grades 9-12. Peddle your way through the Michigan Tech Trails and paddle through the Keweenaw with licensed, local professionals.

Finally, a week-long Figure Skating School will be held inside the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena. All ages are welcome to register and take part in the camp from August 5-9. Skaters of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, will learn new skills and techniques from talented guest instructors and local coaches.
