HOCKEY
The Huskies enter their final weekend of the regular season playing UP-rival Northern Michigan Friday and Saturday. The two teams meet in Marquette on Friday with the regular season finale on Saturday at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena. Tech's eight seniors—Brent Baltus, Shane Hanna, Tyler Heinonen, Chris Leibinger, Michael Neville, Reid Sturos, Cliff Watson, and Matt Wintjes—will be honored after Saturday night's game. Both games will be televised live on Fox UP. Tech enters the final weekend in second place in the WCHA standings, three points ahead of Minnesota State. Tech swept Northern in their first meeting of the season on October 28-29. The Huskies won 2-0 Friday in Houghton and 5-1 Saturday in Marquette. The Blue Line Club is hosting its annual End of the Season Brunch on Sunday at the Bonfire Restaurant on the seventh floor of the Magnusson Franklin Square Inn. It is open to the public and tickets are $15. RSVP by noon on Friday to blueline@mtu.edu.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies split their weekend downstate, falling 64-52 at Grand Valley State Thursday and defeating Ferris State 75-64 Saturday. The Huskies clinched a home playoff game with Saturday's win. Brenna Heise (15.5), Lindsay Winter (11.5), and Morgan Anderson (10.5) averaged in double figures in scoring in the two games. Anderson scored her 1,000th career point Thurday. The Huskies (18-7, 14-6 GLIAC) wrap-up the regular season Thursday, hosting NMU at 5:30 p.m. at the SDC Gym. The game will be televised live on Fox UP.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech dropped its pair of games over the weekend. The Huskies fell 74-57 Thursday at GVSU and 81-76 at Ferris Saturday. Tommy Lucca led the Huskies with 17 points Thursday, while Kyle Monroe and Bryan Heath each scored 22 Saturday. Jason Hawke added 13 at Ferris. Tech is tied with four other teams for third in the GLIAC with a 12-8 conference mark and 14-13 overall record. NMU enters the SDC Gym Thursday for the regular season finale at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised live on Fox UP.

NORDIC SKIING
The Nordic ski teams finished second at the NCAA Central Regional Championships over the weekend in Ishpeming. In Saturday's 20K freestyle, Tom Bye (3rd), Gaspard Cuenot (5th), Daniel Wood (9th), and Tomi Mikkonen (10th) had all-region performances. Cuenot (2nd), Mikkonen (6th), and Bye (9th) were all-region in the 10K classic Sunday. In Saturday's 15K freestyle, Sonja Heblom (6th), Anna Kubek (7th), and Carolyn Lucca (8th) were all-region in the top 10. Kubek (7th) and Lucca (8th) added to their all-region weekend in the 5K freestyle, and Lisa Koenig (9th) also added the honor. Carolyn Lucca, Sonja Hedblom, Gaspard Cuenot, Tom Bye, and Tomi Mikkonen have all qualified for the NCAA Championships (March 6-11).
