HALL OF FAME WEEKEND
Six individuals and the 1974-75 NCAA Hockey National Championship team will join the Michigan Tech Sports Hall of Fame at an induction ceremony on Saturday. The individuals are former football player Bill Hauswirth, former basketball players JT Luginski and Andrea Novak, former hockey players Brent Peterson and Scott White, and former Nordic skier Tom Wood. The inductees will be recognized at Friday's hockey game and Saturday's football game.

HOCKEY
The Huskies traveled to Ann Arbor for a nonconference series at No. 11 Michigan. The Wolverines won 4-3 Friday and the two teams skated to a 3-3 tie Saturday. Six different players scored Tech's six goals. Alex Gillies, Alex Smith, and Reid Sturos scored Friday. Michael Neville, Chris Leibinger, and Thomas Beretta scored Saturday. The Huskies return to the Upper Peninsula for a WCHA series against Northern Michigan. The two teams meet at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena on Friday night and the Berry Events Center in Marquette Saturday. Michigan Tech will induct the 1975 NCAA National Championship Team and former hockey players Brent Peterson and Scott White into the Sports Hall of Fame this weekend. ArcelorMittal is sponsoring Friday's game and has donated T-shirts. 100 of the T-shirts will be given away at a live radio remote at the Memorial Union Building on Wednesday.

VOLLEYBALL
Volleyball picked up a pair of wins at the SDC Gym over the weekend. The Huskies defeated Lake Erie 3-2 Friday and swept Ohio Dominican Saturday. Aubrey Ficek averaged over 19 kills per match and Rachel Pohlod had over 100 assists on the weekend. Elle Heinonen led the defense with 53 digs, including 38 in Friday's match. The Huskies play their final two road matches of the regular season at Ferris State and Grand Valley. They're currently in a three-way tie for third place in the GLIAC North Division standings.

SOCCER
Soccer splits its weekend at home. The Huskies fell 2-0 to Ashland Friday and rebounded with a 2-0 win over Tiffin Sunday. Taylor Archibald and Alex Vasile supplied the offense for Tech. The Huskies clinched a home game in the upcoming GLIAC tournament with Sunday's win. They are also guaranteed at least the number three seed and still in contention for second place in the final standings. Tech hosts Northern Michigan on Friday to wrap up the regular season.

WOMEN'S TENNIS
The Huskies wrapped up the regular season with a 5-4 win over Lake Superior State on Saturday. Tech got its five wins in five singles matches with Kwang Suthijindawong, Paola Quintana, Vicky Quinde, Natalia Parra Alvarez, and Allenca Rolim defeating their opponents. The Huskies finished 6-5 on the season and are the No. 7 seed in the upcoming GLIAC Tournament, playing second-seeded Tiffin.

CROSS COUNTRY
Bot the men's and women's cross country teams finished sixth at the GLIAC Championships held in Big Rapids. Sophia Farquhar led the women with an All-Conference performance in 16th place. Emily Byrd (25th), Emily Vigil (41st), Sonja Hedblom (42nd), and Robyn Holmes (51st) also scored for the Huskies. Matt Pahl led the men in 17th place for All-Conference honors. Jason Saliga (23rd), Kyle Hanson (30th), Daniel Kulas (43rd), and Brendan Klynstra (57th) rounded out the top five for Tech. The teams compete at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Championships in Evansville, Indiana on November 5.

FOOTBALL
Tech suffered a 17-3 loss at Northwood Saturday. Josh King's 28-yard field goal in the second quarter supplied the points. The Huskies host Ashland at Sherman Field this weekend and wrap up the season with the annual Miner's Cup game at Northern Michigan on November 5 and the final game of the season on November 12 against Findlay at Sherman Field.
