Robert R. Lorimer

One of coach John MacInnes' favorite defensemen, Bob Lorimer was a four-year hockey letterwinner at Michigan Tech.

His career spanned from 1971-75, and as a senior he captained the Huskies NCAA championship team. That year he not only earned All-WCHA Second Team recognition, but was also named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team.

Lorimer finished his career at MTU having played in 147 games with 16 goals and 55 assists. He went onto a 10-year National Hockey League career, including stints with the New York Islanders (where he won two Stanley Cup championships), the Colorado Rockies, and the New Jersey Devils.

A contributor to the Huskies Club and the MTU hockey program, Lorimer currently resides in Aurora, Ontario.
