Robert E. Hunt

One of the most dominant defensive lineman to ever play at Michigan Tech, Robert Hunt was a four-year starter for the Huskies football team from 1969-72 and helped MTU to a 30-6 record during his time at the University.

He led the huskies to Northern Intercollegiate Conference titles in 1969, 1970, and 1972, and during his four-year stay, recorded 100-plus tackles each season.

His freshman season, Hunt helped MTU to a 6-3 mark and gained the Terry Wilson Award, significant of MTU's top male athlete.

His final three seasons, the Pontiac, Michigan, native garnered All-NIC First Team laurels. Additionally, his senior season, he served as captain and earned MTU's Outstanding Defensive Player Award.
