Jerry Jerabek

One of the most prolific players in the Michigan Tech men's tennis history, Jerry Jerabek was a four-year letterwinner for the Huskies, competing from 1967-70.

He was the school's first-ever Northern Intercollegiate Conference champion at #1 singles and accomplished the feat as a freshman in 1967.

Not only was he the NIC champion at #1 singles all four seasons in a Huskies' uniform, but he also was the team's most valuable player each of his four years as well.

Jerabek posted a career singles record of 39-3.

Jerabek received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Michigan Tech, a master's in statistics from Purdue. He became vice president and actuary with Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company in Columbus, Ohio. He was active in USTA tennis until his death in 1990.
