How many offensive centers have you ever heard of being the most valuable player of an athletic conference?
Well, Alex Pociask is the only one on record to do so in the Northern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and he did it playing for the Michigan Tech Huskies in 1969.
Pociask's career in a Tech uniform spanned from 1966-69. Both of his final two seasons he gained All-NIC honors and his senior year he served as co-captain in helping the Huskies to the NIC title.
